Shahid Kapoor’s latest album, Kabir Singh, has challenged harsh critics to become the biggest solo hit of the actor’s career. The film added about 17 billion rupees to its collections on Monday, bringing its four-day total to 87 billion rupees, according to Box Office India.

Kabir Singh, a remake of the hit Telugu hit 2017, Arjun Reddy, broke the record for most of Sunday 2019. He was close to 28 crores, almost 2 crores higher than the previous record set by Salman Khan’s Bharat. According to Box Office India, this indicates popularity among the country’s mass centers. Citing previous examples such as Total Dhamaal and Bharat, the report noted that each of these films had recorded a slight increase in numbers on Sunday. The film is expected to break the Rs 100 crore bar in just five days.

Kabir Singh made 20 crores of rupee on Friday, 22 crore of Rs on Saturday and 27.7 crores of Rs on Sunday. Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, said Kabir Singh’s success is particularly important because it has helped overcome several setbacks. There has been no increase in ticket prices, which is normal among the biggest outings. He was facing a massive critical reaction, and he was posted in a non-vacation window. Despite this, he recorded the highest Monday figures for a normal-priced movie. The previous best was Sultan, which made a crore of Rs 15 on Monday in 2016.

Kabir Singh, despite his appalling criticism, has already beaten the gains of previous Shahid films such as R Rajkumar, Haider, Shaandaar, Kaminey and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Shahid’s greatest success is Padmavati, although Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have eclipsed it, according to most critics.

Kabir Singh’s criticism of the Hindustan Times, attributing the film one and a half stars to five, noted that “Kabir Singh applauded his pathetic protagonist and ended with an odious celebration of toxic masculinity.”
